Yacht Charter Ionian
Yacht charter Ionian invites you into Greece’s gentler, greener side – a chain of lush islands draped in cypress and olive groves along the country’s western coast, where Venetian bell towers rise above sheltered turquoise bays and the Aegean’s boisterous meltemi gives way to calmer afternoon breezes that make for effortless cruising. Corfu’s elegant Old Town, Lefkada’s dramatic white cliffs at Porto Katsiki, the tranquil coves of Ithaca, and the postcard-perfect village of Fiskardo on Kefalonia form an itinerary rich in contrast and easy on the sea legs. The Ionian charter fleet includes luxury catamarans from 55 ft – perfectly suited to the region’s island-to-island hops with their stable, spacious platforms – modern motor yachts in the 68–98 ft range for larger groups, and superyachts above 100 ft for extended Adriatic-Ionian voyages. Peak season spans July and August; the shoulder months of May–June and September–October offer warmer, stiller water and noticeably fewer yachts at anchor.
Charter rates start from €3,900 per day on a luxury catamaran, from €4,900 per day on a motor yacht, from €8,900 per day on the latest 88–99 ft models, and from €11,900 per day on a superyacht, plus 12% VAT (or 6.5%) and APA. For a first-time charter or a family voyage, the Ionian is hard to beat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Ionian suitable for families with young children?
The Ionian is one of Greece’s most family-friendly cruising grounds. Its sheltered waters, short inter-island distances, and calm summer conditions make it ideal for young sailors who may be new to life on the water. Many yachts carry paddleboards, water toys, and snorkelling gear, and waterside tavernas across Kefalonia, Lefkada, and Meganisi are welcoming to children of all ages.
Can I combine the Ionian with a neighbouring region?
Yes. The northern Ionian sits within easy reach of Albania’s Riviera and the southern Adriatic coast, making a multi-country charter straightforward to arrange. A southbound route can extend into the western Peloponnese and around to the Saronic Gulf. Multi-region itineraries typically require ten to fourteen days, and our team can handle any additional cruising permits and logistics on your behalf.
What water toys and activities are available onboard?
Most charter yachts in the Ionian fleet carry a tender, snorkelling equipment, paddleboards, and inflatable water toys as standard. Larger motor yachts and superyachts often include jet skis, sea bobs, diving compressors, and wakeboarding equipment. The Ionian’s calm, sheltered bays are ideal for water sports, and your charter specialist can confirm the full toy inventory on any shortlisted yacht before you commit to a booking.
What is included in the charter price?
The base rate covers the yacht, professional crew, insurance, and standard onboard equipment. Fuel, provisioning, berthing fees, and any special requests fall under the Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), typically 25–35% of the charter fee. Greek VAT at 12% (or 6.5% depending on yacht type) is applied to all Ionian charters, and your captain provides a full APA accounting at the end of the voyage.
